India is a country in southern Asia, comprised mainly of the land portion of the Indian tectonic plate. India has de facto borders with Baluchistan to the east,¹ along with de facto borders with Russian and Iranian occupied Afghanistan to the east and northwest, China, Nepal, and Bhutan to the north, and Myanmar to the east. Additionally, India surrounds the entirety of Bangladesh, with northeast India.² India is the most populous country in Asia, with over 1.5 billion inhabitants. It also posseses Asia's largest economy, both in GDP³ and GNP.⁴ India also harbors some of Asia's largest technology institutes and industries, most of which are located in the city of Bengaluru.
